The NIHR provides specific support to help researchers develop and design high quality research proposals through the NIHR Research Design Service and through the involvement of Clinical Trials Units in your research.
NIHR Research Design Service

Researchers based in England seeking help in developing their research proposals for submission to NIHR funding streams or other national bodies may wish to contact their local NIHR Research Design Service (RDS).

NIHR Clinical Trials Units (CTUs)
The NETS programmes encourage applicants to involve a CTU (where appropriate) in conducting their research. The UKCRC Registered Clinical Trials Units (CTUs) website allows potential collaborators, both in academia and industry, to obtain up to date information on CTUs that can help design and run high quality trials.

Note: Whilst we encourage applicants to involve a CTU, this need not necessarily be a UKCRC-registered CTU or one in receipt of a NIHR CTU support funding award http://www.netscc.ac.uk/supporting_research/CTUs |
