New NETS Annual Review
5 December 2011
The NIHR Evaluation Trials and Studies programmes Annual Review for 2010/11 is now available to view online.
NETS programmes form an important component of health research in the UK
and the projects they support continue to deliver high-quality results informing
policy and practice.
The publication highlights key achievements and developments over the year, and the contribution that research funded by NETS programmes is making to drive innovation in health and social care delivery.
NETS projects have the potential to make significant contributions to the NHS's QIPP efficiency drive, providing additional information that can guide whether interventions are suitable for use – are they better than alternatives and do they represent cost-effective use of NHS resources? And beyond the NHS, high-quality research evidence from NETS programmes can support policy makers to identify effective ways to tackle health inequalities and improve public health.
The publication can be downloaded from the Annual Review webpage.
