Funding acknowledgements and disclaimers


It is important that the appropriate programme is acknowledged as the funding source for the research commissioned. All published material must contain an acknowledgement of funding and an appropriate disclaimer. Research teams are free to design their own forms of acknowledgement and disclaimer. The following templates are offered for consideration:

• Funding / publication acknowledgement: This project was funded by the [insert programme name] programme (project number xx xx xx xx) and will be published in full in the [insert journal title, volume and issue number, if known]. Further information available at: [insert project page web address].

• Department of Health disclaimer: This report presents independent research commissioned by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The views and opinions expressed by authors in this publication are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the NHS, the NIHR, NETSCC, the [insert programme name] programme or the Department of Health.
